2nd Amendment to the Constitution of The United States of America

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

"I ask sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people except for a few politicians."

China accuses the U.S. of human rights violations for allowing gun ownership...

And before you leave a comment, yes, I know China and Japan are
totally different countries in Asia...I am a college grad for crying out loud..

This past week China accused the U.S. of various human rights violations, to include the 2nd Amendment apparently.  From the report..

"The United States prioritizes the right to keep and bear arms over the protection of citizens' lives and personal security and exercises lax firearm possession control, causing rampant gun ownership. The U.S. people hold between 35 percent and 50 percent of the world' s civilian-owned guns, with every 100 people having 90 guns (Online edition of the Foreign Policy, January 9, 2011). According to a Gallup poll in October 2011, 47 percent of American adults reported that they had a gun. That was an increase of six percentage points from a year ago and the highest Gallup had recorded since 1993. Fifty-two percent of middle-aged adults, aged between 35 and 54, reported to own guns, and the adults' gun ownership in the south region was 54 percent (The China Press, October 28, 2011)."

Wow!  Good for us!  Actually, with most of Europe, China and other large countries on the "you can't own a gun" plan I was actually thinking we should own a lot more of them.  I guess India and most of the Middle East and Africa are making us look bad.  You know, its not so easy to suppress your citizens when they possess 1/2 of the civilian armed firearms....

And in related news...China maintains the majority of non-civilian firearms on
the planet while their citizens own practically none...cool comrade crackdown!

Hey, China remember this?
Tienanmen Square 2- 4 June 1989...what's a couple thousand dead protesters anyway in a country of billions...

So, China has a pot and the U.S. has a kettle.... Let's face it, the Chinese were all pissed off about that blind dissident that escaped to the U.S. under world scrutiny and news coverage and played the deflect the attention game on us.

I learned some Chinese from Google translate today...Hey Chinese officials crawling this page...

This song is dedicated to you!

I work with a gentleman who is a Chinese immigrant, he was in prison as a political dissident. He also asked me to help him pick out a new centerfire rifle for long range shooting. I think he would say China can take their condemnation and shove it up their middle kingdom asses.
