Jesse Stone..your opinions please

Anybody seen the Jesse Stone movies? I understand the premise is much like the glades, lawman uproots into another town and all...

It's got Tom Selleck and a 1911 on the cover so might just give it a look...

Excellent mystery. From what I have heard about "The Glades" the "Jesse Stone" series is nothing like it. Jesse is a functioning alcholic that cannot detach from his ex-wife. He was an LA cop that lost his job and moved to Paradise, MA. Aside from that, accurate and well executed firearm use. Of course exemplary trigger discipline. IMDB.com has the whole list of movies and there is a new one due in 2012. The first on was Jesse Stone: stone Cold (2005). They are best watched in order (character/story background) but, the movies fill in as they go and are very good on their own.
